Thank you to Christie Armelle for asking me to be a guest speaker. I got to speak about body positivity and self-esteem at her first event; I’M Perfect Exhibition. It was an incredible event filled with such amazing people all there to support the this amazing event and message.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to Body Gossip. What an amazing ethos they have and the people they reach. Please check out their amazing work.

Thank you to The Canvas Cafe, Brick Lane for your hospitality and yummy vegan food.

Sharing my story, I always learn something new about myself and owning that stage with my authenticity, being true to my brand.

Empowering the audience with my learnings and experiences has given me the confidence to elevate my empowerment work further.

I had such a great time and really enjoyed delivering my talk. I particularly felt confident to impart inspirational quotes to make them take ownership of who they are and that they are amazing in their own unique way; which is what makes us all beautiful humans.

We all have a journey of personal stories but that’s where richness of humanity exists.. sharing and learning more about a person.

Self-love is what we need to be teaching and promoting. To be a whole person; have self-acceptance.

I have been on a path of self-loathing as I had no confidence and had no self-worth. Everything I measured myself on was based on the external shell; my weight, my scars, my height etc.

I now see myself as a work-in-progress and live in the moment filled with positivity and self-acceptance. I know I have areas I need to work on however it comes from a place of love not self-loathe/hate.

Be kind to yourself and others. If we can feed our children with love and kindness then why do we exempt ourselves from that same feeling?

Thank you to my two great friends; Anju and Kam, who always support me by attending my talks. As women we work together to inspire and build each other up.

We all have our own body insecurities, but it’s learning to appreciate the differences rather than feeling it is stopping you from leading an empowered life.

Surround yourself with uplifting and positive people. We do not need to be entertained by negativity.
